Middle and Senior High School Youth

Here at First Presbyterian we have an active and growing Middle School and Senior High youth group. Any student going into 6th grade up through 12th grade is welcome to join us for our activities. We meet most Sunday evenings at 5 pm and our typical Sunday meeting looks like this:

5:00-5:30 Dinner
5:30-6:00 Music
6:00-6:15 Games/Opening Activities
6:15-6:45 Lesson/Main Activity
6:45-7:00 Closing

Every second Sunday after our church pot luck lunch, we do a mission project at a local facility or person's home. This can range from outdoor yard work to helping with odd jobs at a nursing home.

In addition to our local activites, we have also partnered with First Presbyterian in Morganton and participate in some of their activities such as Scarowinds, Operation Chrismas Child, and summer mission trips. This partnership allows us to offer more activites for our youth as well as fostering additional friendships outside of our church.

We also particpate in our Presbyterian Youth Council events that include a Fall Rally for Senior High students, a Fall Retreat for Middle School students, and a Spring Rally for Middle School students.
