Presbyterian Women

The mission and purpose of Presbyterian Women states:

"To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive,caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church USA and the witness to the promise of God's Kingdom"

The Presbyterian Women of Burnsville First Presbyterian support and live out this purpose through several activities and ministry opportunities. We meet monthly to share scripture, determine what ministry opportunities we will be involved with, and to work toward creating and sustaining a caring community among one another. We have been involved in working to maintain and beautify our church grounds and prayer garden, a prayer shawl ministry, preparing and sharing meals for those in our church family who may have special needs or just to demonstrate our love and support, working with community mission efforts including a local soup kitchen and thrift store, attending Presbytery Women's conferences,hosting an annual fall retreat, hosting guest speakers for spiritual development and growth opportunities as well as many other activities.

There is room for every woman to serve and appreciate this program!
