Congregational Care Committee

As a Congregation we are called to care for the Body of Christ, which is one another. The Congregational Care Ministry is a "behind the scenes" ministry. This ministry is working to serve the immediate and long term needs of members and visitors. We do this through assisting members in times of celebration and times of concern. The church has a list of members who have volunteered to offer meals , transportation and visitation to members along with ongoing prayer. Another aspect of the ministry is to help visitors and new members feel welcome and become a part of our church family. We do this by contacting members after they have visited and helping new members get involved.

The 6:15 Group

The 6:15 Group meets Wednesday evening after the meal from 6:15 (hence the name!) to about 7:20 in the Fellowship Hall. A wide variety of topics are discussed, sometimes being drawn from "The Thoughtful Christian" or "Living the Questions" series. Also, speakers are invited to address our group concerning current issues. Recently, the group delved into the immigration debate for several meetings and heard from the founder of the Centro de Enlace, a local support organization for Hispanics. The group is led by Eliizabeth Ayers.
